hello sir,

I know, this is one of the most common and conventional ques..that most of ur readers would have been asking you and i am no exception to those.

may be u consider it worth answering or not, but I jus could not refrain myself from putting this before u as u r an exemplified master of SAP -MM.

Sir, how can freshers make their way out in the job market??
without job, no real-time experience...and without exp., no one caters to provide with a decent job rather job enough.
How to break this catch 22 situation???
after 4 years of my engineering career in India, I could not find a job suiting my profile in Singapore...and then took a plunge into SAP...as SAP jobs exist in plenty in Singapore.
Did a 3 months course from some pvt coaching in India...but u know only training is not at all sorting out the very purpose of securing a job in SAP.

What you suggest/advise generally to jobseekers like me ???
How to have the so called real-time project experience in order to crack the interviews??

your purview is highly anticipated and welcome keeping in picture your iconic personality.

Thanks in advance,
Neha

    Hi Neha,

To crack Catch 22 situation, one requires lot of enterprenurship.

I have seen many people getting ruined while launching themselves and then struggling to finad a suitable platform to make career out of SAP.

It is true that no big IT company or other industry will give break without having some good hands on experience.

For those ones who have want to get into SAP without having luck of either being part of inhouse team for implementation or support or being hired by IT companies to get rained, should try small IT companies of body staffing or doing small projects for small businesses. 2 years into this work will give immense exeprience to gain entry into the Big companies.

In the year 2005 (October) I paid one Lakh to a small company for getting trained and getting the project right after that (as promised by them) without salary for few months and then few thousand for another few months. I found it good becasue initially earning does not matter but learning. I knew that once I have done a project I can command myself in the market. After 1 and half year I was brimming with the learning and knowledge. Thanks to small set up which gave me 100% free hand to try and learn anything with every oppurtunity.

I advised many freshers to join small company first to learn SAP well, if they they do not get any breakthrough.

I hope to you may have find some answer to your question.

    Regards,

    Mukesh

    1. Hi,
Thank u so much sir for taking time out to reply...that means a lot to me.
I agree , u are absolutely right, initial earning does not matter.

for me rite now, job is the prority not money...I am totally in to begin with a small firm without pay jus for the sake of learning..but bad luck is too prominent..

my coaching centre in Noida promised to provide with project, but that was jus a marketing strategy..they ppl have been cheating innocent ppl who want to make their career into SAP..and ppl easily get befooled too..mine is a true example.

I have made two resumes for SAP, one of fresher, one with experience. (modified by coaching centre, it was one of the parts of their so called SAP training cum placement programme).

If I float fresher one, then I dont receive a single interview call , not even any e-mail from HR consultants.

If I float with experience one, then I am not able to justify my learning.

      In a big fix....truly!!!

Sir, sorry to ask, but do u know any small/medium company or training centre in India (preferably noida, delhi, ggn or ncr region) where they really allow/provide to work on a project may be on a self support basis or like the one as u told where initial payment is to be made to become a part of the running project.

here in singapore, have searched out for everthing, no results.

jus came across an online coaching 101ERP where they provide project implementation experience, trying to gain some review/feedbacks from internet.

Once again , thanks for your inputs and valuable info. u provided me with.

      Regards,

      Neha

  2. Hi,

    sorry to reply late.

unfortunaltely it is totally a matter of oppurtunities around, it cannot be created.

You should ask for some help from some senior people (in samlle companies or manufacturing industry) you may know to put you in some project as intern for learning, preferrably in implementation. You can also approach some CIO in your network to assist you. Six months down the line you can start with job search with 1 year of experience.

You have to be enterpreneurial..think of some absurd /bizarre ideas to get throug this catch 22 situation
